Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and news from Gear Patrol Studios.

As cleverly reported by Apple Insider, Apple filed a patent for a “Modular Light Assembly For A Wearable Device” on December 7. The patent describes a device that’s connected to an Apple watch through the band and can be controlled via the Apple watch. A band-based tool would make for great user application in the field: press a button, light shines out the bottom of your wrist. Currently, the Apple watch “flashlight” involves the screen blasting white light (flashing, sometimes), often directly into the user’s face. Mechanical watch wearers have been taking the band-based approach with compasses for a long time. Smart thinking, Apple!

Today we’re taking a look at a Supreme x Vans collab, sake for stoners, a crazy skincare mask and more. This is Today in Gear.
